There in spirit! Anna Faris co-hosted the 41st Annual People's Choice Awards with her Mom costar Allison Janney on Wednesday, Jan. 7, but there was one familiar face missing — Chris Pratt. Hours before the live show, the CBS star said there was a chance her hunky husband would be watching from home.
"I am going to walk the red carpet with my costar, co-host Allison Janney," Faris, 38, explained to ET Canada. "My son [Jack] is having eye surgery the next morning, so we'll see what happens, he may come, but he may not." (Jack is often photographed wearing glasses while out with his famous parents.)
"To be honest lately he's been intimidating me," Anna joked of her "movie star" beau. "So sometimes I just want him to stay home."
Janney was all for a girls' night out, chiming in: "I'm going to take care of her, she's going to be my date."
Last month, Pratt opened up about Jack's premature birth during the March of Dimes Celebration of Babies Hollywood Luncheon. Their baby boy, now 2, arrived nine weeks early and at just three pounds.
Despite the health scare, Jack has no developmental problems. Earlier today, the Guardians of the Galaxy star gushed about his growing boy during the The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "It really is easy to be patient with this kid," he said. "He really is a remarkable kid."
