Oscar? Check! Husband? Check! New puppy? Check!
Anne Hathaway is enjoying summertime in New York City with her hubby Adam Shulman and the newest addition to their family—a rescue puppy named Kenobi.
The Les Miserables star, 31, adopted the mixed breed named Edward last month and renamed him after one of the most famous characters in pop culture.
“Their new dog is named Kenobi, as in Obi Wan-Kenobi from Star Wars,” a source close to Hathaway told Us Weekly. (For anyone living under a rock over the past quarter century, Obi Wan-Kenobi was played by Alec Guiness in the first three Star Wars films, and by Ewan McGregor in Episodes I – III.)
Kenobi joins the Brooklyn-based couple’s Chocolate Labrador Retriever Esmeralda, who the Oscar winner has had for years.
Hathaway, who wed actor and jewelry designer Shulman, 33, in 2012, is next set to star in Christopher Nolan’s star-packed sci-fi drama Interstellar; she’s currently filming the Nancy Meyers comedy The Intern with Robert De Niro.
