Ariel Winter Confirms She’s Single in Post Featuring Kim Kardashian

Later, babes. Ariel Winter confirmed that she’s officially single and ready to mingle in a funny Instagram post on Saturday, June 25, featuring a screen shot of Kim Kardashian.

“When you’re surprised that people just haven’t gotten it yet… ,” she wrote, along with a gif of Kardashian, 35, saying, “I’m like dropping hints that I’m single.”

Winter, 18, has previously posted several images and status updates hinting that she and her longtime boyfriend, Laurent Claude Gaudette, are no longer an item, but this is the first time the Modern Family actress has explicitly confirmed the news.

Winter and Gaudette have already stopped following each other on social media, though the producer, singer and songwriter still follows her sister, Shanelle Workman, and her Modern Family costar Rico Rodriguez.

The pair first met in 2013, and the actress told Us that she was the first one to make a move.

“It was kind of like, I saw him, and I was like, I would like to get to know him. And I did!” she told Us at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood event last October. “I’m very outgoing, so I kind of initiated the, ‘Hi, I’m here! It’s nice to meet you.’”

In December, it appeared as though the couple had put their relationship on ice, with Winter sharing several cryptic Instagram posts hinting at a breakup.

“Love doesn’t die, it simply evolves,” she captioned one photo. “We grow up, we realize what we truly want. I’m excited for this new chapter in my love life — love is all around.. Family, friends, pizza.. The old and the new.”

But several months later in April, it seemed as though the pair had reconciled, with Winter posting a photo of herself kneeling to write their names in the sand in the Bahamas.

“When you write yours and bae’s name in the sand @atlantisresort #bahamas,” she captioned the photo, along with a heart emoji and a winky face.
