Can’t stop … praising Miley! Arnold Schwarzenegger visited SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, June 24, where, in addition to reflecting on his marriage to ex-wife Maria Shriver, the Governator, 67, also gave his candid thoughts on Miley Cyrus, the ex-girlfriend of his son Patrick Schwarzenegger.
“When I did meet Miley Cyrus — when she came up to Sun Valley skiing during our holidays — I found out that she is a fantastic person,” Arnold dished. “We had little kids in the house. She went out every day to buy gifts for them. She played with them, really, sincerely, like two hours at a time would go out in the snow with them.”
Arnold was not bothered by the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s wild-child side either.
“She was a wonderful person, then she has this career side where she maybe has to be a little out there,” he said, adding, “And is maybe a little different because she grew up in a music family. So what? It didn’t bother me.”
As for Patrick’s six-month romance with the Disney alum, dad Arnold said, “I think Patrick had a wonderful experience, he had a great relationship, and then the whole thing fell apart.”
Nowadays, the former bodybuilder is busy supporting his son’s acting career. Patrick, 21, recently landed the starring role in Midnight Sun opposite actress Bella Thorne.
“I’m very proud of him that he is doing so well,” he said. “But I made it very clear to my kids — I don’t care if they’re a plumber, a writer, a teacher, whatever they want to do as long as they’re passionate.”
