In the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 16, Azealia Banks was arrested in NYC outside of the Manhattan nightclub Up&Down after she allegedly attacked a female security guard, Page Six reports.
The “Chasing Time” rapper, 24, was reportedly spotted spitting in the woman’s face, punching her and “biting her in the boob,” a source told Page Six. “She bites the [bouncer] in the breast, almost breaking her shirt … as they took her out,” another source told the site.
Banks had been trying to attend a private party at the nightclub.
“It was an invite-only party,” a witness told Page Six. “You needed a stamp to get in.”
But when Banks didn’t have the special stamp, bouncers stopped her and a fight broke out.
She was reportedly given a misdemeanor charge of third-degree assault and was held at the police station until Wednesday evening. She was photographed entering the Sixth Precinct and even hammed it up for photographers on her way out.
This isn’t the first time Banks has had a public outburst. In September, she was filmed having a meltdown on a Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles, calling a flight attendant a “f—-t.”
