Bill Murray Crashes a Bachelor Party, Gives Groom and Groomsmen Advice

Bill Murray gives advice to bachelor party
Bill Murray gives epic advice to a group of guys at a bachelor party.

You never know what could happen at a bachelor party — Bill Murray could even show up!

And that's exactly what happened for a group of guys over Memorial Day Weekend. The funny man happened upon a bachelor party while eating at a steakhouse in Charleston, S.C., and offered the groom and his groomsmen some epic life advice.

In a video posted by one of groom E.J. Rumpke's friends, The Grand Budapest Hotel star, 63, is shown telling the group of Boston College men: "You know how funerals are not for the dead, they're for the living? Bachelor parties are not for the groom, they're for the uncommitted."

Murray, who was wearing a fishing vest for the evening, then went on to entertain the rowdy group, offering them a tip on how to figure out if you've found "the one."

"If you have someone that you think is 'the one,' don't just sort of think in your ordinary mind, 'Okay, let's pick a date. Let's plan this and make a party and get married,'" the Groundhog Day actor lectured, adding, "Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world, and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. And if when you come back to JFK [John F. Kennedy airport] when you land in JFK, and you're still in love with that person, get married at the airport."

A friend of the groom named Stephen, who was present during Murray's impromptu visit, told Deadspin's The Concourse that the group at first didn't think they'd get the chance to meet the comedy legend.

"We talked to the waiter to see if we could send him some drinks, to which Bill declined," Stephen shared. "One of my buddies then went down and asked if he'd come up and say a few words for E.J. and got a 'No thanks.' My buddy comes back up dejected and tells us it's not going to happen. Two minutes later, Bill (expletive) Murray walks into the room and gives this speech."
