A mysterious ring has fans of Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley wondering whether the couple are taking the next step in their romance.
Hurley, 61, took to Instagram on Monday, October 12, to share two mirror selfies in which she sported nothing but a white robe and a diamond ring on her left ring finger. The jewelry was mostly hidden in the first snap, but the second photo put the massive rock on full display.
“Day 1 on set #TheBurbs 🎬❤️,” she wrote in the caption.
Cyrus, 65, fueled engagement speculation in his own post on Thursday, October 15, by adding a ring emoji to the caption.
“This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time,” he wrote. “[The video for my new song] Party’s in The Back with DELTONA went over a half million views in a few days. It’s fun. Speaking of … wait until you hear them on I Want My Mullet Back 20-year anniversary special.”
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer continued, “They also join me on a John Prine tribute track of the classic and still relevant to a whole new generation …. ‘Storm Windows.’ 🪟I like seeing people’s dreams come true. I’m so excited for the show this weekend teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix!!!”
He concluded, “Kinda has a ring 💍 to it.”
The post had “Something With a Ring to It” by Mark Collie playing in the background.
Hurley’s 24-year-old son, Damian, commented on the post, “🥳.”

The Strictly Confidential star and the Hannah Montana alum met in 2022 while filming the holiday movie Christmas in Paradise on the Caribbean island of Nevis. At the time, Billy Ray had recently finalized his divorce from Tish Cyrus after 29 years of marriage. The exes share kids Miley, 33, Braison, 32, and Noah, 26. Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s kids from a previous relationship, Brandi, 39, and Trace, 37. Additionally, he is a father to son Christopher, 34, with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey.
Hurley and Billy Ray reconnected in 2024 amid the latter’s split from Firerose after less than one year of marriage. (Billy Ray was also previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991.)
“I didn’t even know the number, and it’s like, ‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner. You got a friend in your corner,’” Billy Ray said on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show in April 2025, days after he and Hurley debuted their relationship via Instagram.
He continued, “I go, ‘Who is this?’ And it’s, like, ‘Elizabeth Hurley.’ All the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most.”
