Billy Ray Cyrus defends his daughter Miley, then 16, for giving director Adam Shankman, 44, a sexy lap dance at the wrap party for The Last Song.
"It's what people her age do," Billy, 48, told TMZ.com. He says his daughter was just "having fun" when she was grinding against Shankman.

It's not the first time Billy has blown off his daughter's questionable behavior.
On Monday, Miley told MTV News that her dad "loves" her racy new music video for "Can't Be Tamed," in which she wears skimpy corsets and dances sexily with guys and girls.

"They were so proud of the treatment that I came up for it," Miley added.
After Miley pole danced at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009, Billy Ray said, "I just think that Miley loves entertaining people… I give my kids a lot of freedom to make the art they wanna make, and make it in their own voice. I think it's important."

Billy Ray and Miley's mom, Tish, were also on the set of a 2008 Vanity Fair shoot in which the then 15-year-old posed topless with just a satin sheet wrapped around her.
