The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville’s father, Guy Glanville, has died. He was 77.

“My dad died, I’m gutted I hate this life right now,” the reality TV star, 53, wrote via X on Saturday, October 10, alongside a broken heart emoji.

Glanville did not share any additional information regarding her father’s passing. Us has reached out to the TV star for comment.

Guy shared Brandi and her siblings, Tricia Glanville and Michael Glanville, with his wife, Judith Glanville. Brandi was open about her at-times rocky relationship with her father, revealing that after the pair reconciled and later appeared alongside each other on 2018’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, her father refused to speak to her.

“My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven’t talked since,” Brandi told Entertainment Tonight shortly after the show’s season premiere. “You know, he’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad – you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did.”

She continued at the time, “It’s been quite some time and unfortunately… I’m used to this, it’s [just like] Housewives, like, I can handle it. For him, I think he cares what his friends and everyone was saying about what they saw, and I thought they gave him a great edit, to be honest, ’cause he was a little bit worried. But, no, we haven’t talked since, unfortunately. But I love him dearly. He’s everything. I’m just, I’m leaving [it] in his corner. Because you know, you know me, I get a little aggressive.”

The pair eventually reconciled again amid Brandi’s public feud with fellow Housewives star Denise Richards, when Guy publicly supported his daughter.

“My daughter may be many things, sometimes an asshole, but she is not a liar,” Guy said in a video shared via Instagram at the time.

In May of this year, amid her own public health battle, Brandi revealed that her father was in the “cardiac unit” of an unspecified hospital following some sort of medical event.

“Been completely off the grid,” she wrote via X at the time. “Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.”

The Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan was one of Brandi’s first famous friends to offer their public condolences in the wake of her father’s death.

“So sorry you are going through this Brandi,” she commented via X. “Sending love and strength.”
