Brandi Glanville is weighing in on the arrest of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr.

“Because I’m a mom of boys, I feel a certain way. I was very protective of my kids,” Glanville, 53, shared on the Thursday, August 27, episode of the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast. “I was like, ‘You cannot hold hands unless you ask. You cannot kiss unless you ask. You have to ask if you can hug her.’”

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star continued, “As a mom of boys, read the f***ing article. Read it carefully because anyone can say anything. I’m not discounting the fact that this woman has trauma and that’s what she says happened, but let’s leave it to the justice system and not the press.”

News broke on August 21 that KJ had been arrested in Alpharetta, Georgia, for aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual assault. His lawyer denies the charges as his client remains behind bars in a juvenile detention center.

“This is not the kind of information that should be for public dissemination. These are juveniles,” KJ’s attorney Jason Sheffield told Us in a statement on August 21. “Secondly, my client is 100 percent innocent and tried to present evidence to the arresting officer, including a passed polygraph by a notable and respected sex offender polygrapher.”

He continued, “Additionally, the officer’s report notes the GBI [Georgia Bureau of Investigation] found no male DNA on or inside the areas the alleged victim claimed she was assaulted. Had the officer sat down with me, I feel certain she would’ve never made an arrest.”

Glanville — who shares Mason, 23, and Jake, 19, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian — made it clear that she isn’t picking sides. At the same time, she appeared to offer empathy for KJ as his name continues to make headlines.

“[His] mom is very popular. She’s clickbait. This kid did not sign up for this,” Glanville explained. “He’s got enough going on. His parents are going through a horrible divorce. They’re in the press every day.”

Glanville herself faced headlines in early 2023 when news broke that she had left The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip to Morocco early after allegedly kissing costar Caroline Manzo multiple times without her consent. (Glanville has strongly denied the allegations and has not been charged with a crime.)

“Even if it’s just in the press, you don’t come back from it. It’s life-ruining. It makes you question your mental health,” Glanville said. “I’m pretty solid. I’ve been through a lot of hate. I can handle a lot, but this is a 15-year-old kid.”

The reality star continued, “Everything I had was canceled, all my money went away. It was a dark time. Imagine what this does to a teenager that’s going to high school? And high school is hard enough as it is. I just am so angry about this story. I wish there was a way to protect people under 18.”

As police continue to investigate the case, Glanville asked her listeners not to jump to conclusions about the case.

Instead, she urged her followers to let the justice system play out and reveal the truth.

“To everyone out there, let’s wait. Let’s hear exactly what evidence there is or isn’t because right now, it’s all hearsay,” she said. “Let’s not ruin this kid’s life. I just feel so bad for this whole family and [the alleged victim’s] family. … Let’s just wait. Let’s protect our youth. I’m not taking anyone’s side.”
