Bristol Palin Marries Ex-Fiance Dakota Meyer

Surprise! Bristol Palin and her ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer recently got married after previously splitting a little over a year ago.

"Life is full of ups and downs but in the end, you'll end up where you're supposed to be," the newlyweds told Entertainment Tonight in a statement on Wednesday, June 8. "We are so happy to share with loved ones the wonderful news that we got married!"

"Hard work and God's grace are the foundation of our new life together, and with the love and support of our family we know we can get through anything," the couple added.

Palin and Meyer, who are parents to 5-month-old daughter Sailor Grace, called off their nuptials in April 2015. That June, she announced she was pregnant, writing on her blog, “I don’t want any lectures.”

The pair ignited rumors of a reconciliation after they started hanging out again in April of this year.

As previously reported by Us, Meyer hinted they had discreetly tied the knot in a Facebook post on Tuesday, June 7.

"On one hand, we know that everything happens for a reason, and there are no mistakes or coincidences," he captioned a photo of them in a tropical location on Facebook. "On the other hand, we learn that we can never give up, knowing that with the right tools and energy, we can reverse any decree or karma. So, which is it? Let the Light decide, or never give up? The answer is: both."

In the photo, Palin’s engagement ring is visible.

Palin is also mom to son Tripp, 7, with ex Levi Johnston
