Britney Spears: I Hope My Sons Never Have to Endure My ‘Magnitude’ of Fame

Britney Spears is hoping her sons don’t grow up to be famous. The “Just Luv Me” singer, 34, said during an interview with The Cooper Lawrence Show that she doesn’t want Sean Preston, 10, and Jayden, 9, to have to endure the same magnitude of fame she has faced.

When asked during the radio interview on Thursday, September 1, what her kids think of her job, Spears said they think it’s “cool,” but that they don’t really have any idea she’s considered the princess of pop.

“I think the magnitude of it and the fame thing, I don’t think they’ve really comprehended what that would even be like,” Spears explained. “Hopefully they never will, because it’s kind of [too] much.”

That said, the former Mouseketeer told the radio hosts that she doesn’t have any “regrets.”

And though Spears’ newly released ninth studio album, Glory, is topping the charts and she delivered an epic performance at the MTV VMAs last Sunday, the Grammy winner doesn’t consider this a “comeback.”

“I don’t really see it as a comeback,” she said during an interview with the Today show on Thursday. “I think I’ve never really left. I’ve always been here. So [it’s] just like … maybe a reinvention of myself and just a different time in my life— a really good, glorious time.”
