Britney Spears is calling out her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, for “secretly” taking her sons to a beach without her during her conservatorship.

“Those two little bodies came out of my belly,” Britney, 44, wrote via X on Friday, August 7, alongside a throwback photo of sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, running on a beach in swimsuits. “Yes, they are mine … Unfortunately it wasn’t until 5 years ago that I saw they were secretly taken to the beach by my mom and dad … The whole summer.”

Britney then recalled her dad Jamie, 74, allegedly forbidding her from going “to a diner ever again to eat a hamburger with a new extremely cool friend I had found cuz all the attention I got from the paps after being held in my home for four months offended him.”

“I was never allowed to see my friend again or go out to old-fashioned hamburger diners … If you know me I love food,” she continued. “The pictures I saw of my mom and dad in secret on the beach the whole summer with my children every weekend ….. I wondered why I wasn’t a part of their cool secret outings … I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children … It was demoralizing.”

Britney — who spent 13 years in a conservatorship that gave control of her money and personal life, including decisions about her children, to her now-estranged father — recalled crying for “months” over the situation.

“Society doesn’t understand the real effects to this very day of the rights and freedoms anyone should be able to have,” the singer added. “I never got to be me, the real Spears … I used to be unbelievably intelligent and 100 percent I was brainwashed into an ignorant system where every goddamn person took advantage of me … I firmly believe I am an angel, and it hurts. Time is in a different realm when you’re an angel … I miss the excitement in my eyes, being alive when I was younger, always so eager to please and hungry for life.”

Britney noted that she was once “unbelievably passionate about everything” and that as she gets older, she finds herself questioning, “How the hell would a government allow that?”

Touching on her faith, Britney continued, “I’m not a nun, but I do live in prayer and yoga every day of my f***ing life … I’ve cried so much. I’m extremely weak, but through weakness they say you will find the most strength, cuz you surrender and give it to God. My son told me last week it was all science, he didn’t personally believe in God … In that moment, I believed I had failed as a mother because I know there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven.”

Britney then apologized for “mistakes” in her past and reflected on her career.

“It’s not like it was when I was younger … My intention and mindset were in a completely different place when I used to perform,” she wrote. “Not one time in those 15 years was it ever me, and the way I used to think … I was shamed, embarrassed, and forced to do all of it. My head meditated on almost fighting through it versus when I was younger, and I dreamed and felt unbelievably lighter, and the connection was different with the fans … I was simply being sassy and doing my thing but never ever allowed to do anything wrong. My image was to be too good.”

Britney questioned why being herself was a “threat to the country and my own family.”

“I will never get those years back, and I’m proud of bringing it up because it’s honestly unbelievably sad. I dance by myself, but what if fame is an illusion? What if none of it is real? As people, we all want a hero or someone to look up to, but we’re simply just people at the end of the day,” she noted, adding that she would rather not be famous.

She concluded, “I’m simply here to give perspective openly because I feel I’ve been misunderstood in my life … I want to get closer to God and get my heart in its most beautiful, spiritual way and have dreams again like I did when I used to go to Mexico!!!”

Britney’s conservatorship ended in November 2021 after the “Toxic” singer spent months arguing that the arrangement was abusive and unfair.

Freedom to do what I want to do has given me back my womanhood,” she wrote in her October 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me. “In my forties, I’m trying things for what feels like the first time. I feel like the woman in me was pushed down for so long. Now, finally, I’m roaring back to life.”
