Real talk from Carole Radziwill! Life’s pretty sweet at the Real Housewives of New York City star’s home, especially for her beloved 7-year-old boxer, Margaret. “Margaret is the kid I never had. Thank God I never had kids, because I feel so guilty every time I leave the house that I give her peanut butter snacks and candy,” the reality star and author, 51, tells Us Weekly. “If I had kids, they’d all be fat.”
Chatting with Us during a recent visit to our office, Radziwill (accompanied by Animal Haven shelter’s dog, Apricot) explained that Margaret takes daily trips to the dog park — and recently embarrassed her mom in NYC’s SoHo neighborhood.
“I was trying to get Margaret into an exclusive dog run on Houston and Mercer Street,” the reality star tells Us. “On the day of the interview she was in a bad mood and knocked over the instructor who fell into the small inflatable child’s pool. Needless to say, we were wait-listed.”
At home, Radziwill tells Us talk of her work on Bravo’s hit reality show is off-limits, especially after the bulk of Margaret’s “superstar” turn in last year was left on the cutting room floor. “We filmed a fun scene in L.A. last season, but, as always, in the edit they cut out most of her good lines. They said she ‘wasn’t making any drama.’ Since then we don’t talk much about RHONY,” Radziwill said in jest. “She was pissed!”
