Starting 36 with a bang! Carrie Underwood celebrated her husband Mike Fisher’s 36th birthday on Sunday, June 5 — and earplugs were needed. The American Idol alum documented the big day via Instagram.
Underwood, 33, first showed off Fisher’s cake, which was made in the shape of a reindeer head. The delicious treat was served up by IveyCake, located in Franklin, Tennessee.
“The perfect cake for the almost perfect man! @mfisher1212, you are my one and only…my best friend…my better half. Happy birthday!!! I love you!” Underwood captioned the photo. “And thanks @iveycakestore and @iveychilders for this creation!!!”
After digging in, Underwood and the NHL player continued the festivities outside … to shoot a cannon. “And for such an occasion, we celebrated by bringing the #boom Happy birthday, Mike!” Underwood captioned an Instagram video. “#canon #yeswehaveacanon #ourneighborsloveus.”
Underwood and Fisher married in July 2010 and are parents of son Isaiah, 15 months. Last year, the “Blown Away” singer opened up about their relationship in Cosmopolitan’s December cover story.
“Everyone is getting divorced. They’re dropping like flies! But we are good,” Underwood said, referring to the many stars who split in 2015, including Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert and Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting. “It helped that we were both established before we were married. Neither one of us could be like, ‘I didn’t know it would be like this!'”
