Not mincing words. Casey Anthony’s former bodyguard, Rob Dick, said in a recent podcast interview that he is 100 percent positive that she is responsible for the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
“There are lots of women out there that killed their kid. And I do say killed their kid,” he said during a Monday, November 28, interview on the podcast “Allegedly.” When asked whether he believed Anthony, now 30, was guilty, he replied, “Yes. Without a doubt. … I think everybody knew she did it.”
Some of the telltale signs, Dick told the podcast hosts, included her odd behavior after being released from jail.
“Here’s a mom in jail for the last 30 days, supposedly not knowing where her child is for 60 days now,” he said. “First question, what do you think it would be? ‘Have you heard anything?’”
Instead, the former bodyguard recalled, Anthony seemed “completely happy, excited to see her parents. She asked, ‘What’s for dinner? Jail food sucks.’”
In July 2011, Anthony was found not guilty in the murder of her daughter. It was a verdict that enraged the nation and caused the Orlando mom to have to go into hiding.
One year later, she spoke on the phone with CNN’s Piers Morgan, and the journalist relayed the conversation to viewers during a chat with Anthony’s lawyer Cheney Mason.
According to Morgan, 51, Anthony cut right to the chase during their 10-minute interview, telling him, “Obviously, I did not kill my daughter. If anything, there’s nothing in this world I’ve ever been more proud of, and there’s no one I loved more than my daughter. She’s my greatest accomplishment.”
Anthony has largely kept out of the spotlight, but in January 2013, she again made headlines when it was revealed that she was filing for bankruptcy.
