After being reported missing earlier this week, Casey Kasem has been spotted in Washington state.
An investigation was ordered on Monday, May 12, into the radio personality's whereabouts after he was reportedly removed from the Berkley East Convalescent Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., without warning.
Kasem, 82, has reportedly been battling Lewy body disease, and his medical care has been the subject of a fierce feud between his wife, Jean Kasem, and his children, Kerri, Julie, and Mike.
According to CNN, Kasem was seen in Washington state by Kitsap County sheriff's deputies. The officers reportedly performed a welfare check on Tuesday, May 13, and found the ailing star to be in "appropriate care."
His exact location, however, "is still being determined."
Kerri Kasem, who was granted temporary conservatorship of her father's healthcare this week, wrote on Facebook after the news, "We are grateful to the local authorities for finding my Dad. We are one step closer to bringing him home."
