Celine Dion will not be singing at her husband René Angélil's funeral, her rep confirms to TMZ. Rumors that the French-Canadian superstar would be performing surfaced earlier this week.

According to Dion's rep, the idea was never discussed. However, one or two of the singer's songs may play in the background during the service. Angélil's funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where the couple got married in 1994. It will also be televised on three networks.

As previously reported, Angélil, also Dion's lifelong manager, died at the age of 73 on Thursday, January 14, following a battle with throat cancer. (Dion's brother Daniel, 59, died of cancer just two days later.)

"Rene Angélil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer," his rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. "The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment; more details will be provided at a later time."
