Chris Brown Arrested for Violating Probation: Singer Held Without Bail

Chris Brown is behind bars. The singer was arrested by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies on Friday, March 14 after Brown violated his probation.

The singer, 24, was taken into custody by deputies on Friday, March 14 in Malibu, Calif. Brown was "cooperative" during his arrest, according to a statement released Friday by the sheriff's department. He is currently being held without bail in the Inmate Reception Center of the Los Angeles County jail in downtown L.A.

A warrant was issued for Brown after the singer was booted from the Malibu rehab facility, where he has been seeking treatment for the last four months. During a court appearance last month, the facility confirmed that Brown had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, severe insomnia, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The exact cause to why Brown was booted remains unknown, but TMZ reported Friday that it was unrelated to violence or drugs.

Brown voluntarily checked himself into rehab on Oct. 29 after he allegedly assaulted a man in Washington, D.C. He was ordered during his court appearance on Feb. 28 to remain in rehab for two more months.
