Celebration time! Three days after his release from jail, Chris Brown attended a low-key party to celebrate his freedom—and his on-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran was in charge of operations.
The event, held on Thursday June 5 at a friend's house in Los Angeles, was a surprise for the troubled R&B singer, who was taken into custody in March after being kicked out of rehab for breaking the center's rules.
Girlfriend Tran blindfolded 25-year-old Brown and led him to a garden where his closest friends—including Amber Rose, Akon, T-Pain, Big Sean, and Tyga—were gathered to celebrate his newfound freedom.
"Everyone was in an amazing mood and happy to have Chris back," a source told Us Weekly. "Karrueche was there and everybody was talking about how supportive she had been throughout."
Brown tweeted about his release in the early hours of Monday, June 2. "Humbled and Blessed," he wrote. "Back to the Music and the Fans… Thank you GOD."
And he was evidently thankful to Tran for her support. "They gave each other kisses," the source told Us, "and he put his arms around her here and there."
Brown’s probation was extended until January 23, 2015, and he must still complete his court-ordered 1,000 hours of community service.
