Family first. Chris Hemsworth may be best known for playing Thor, but he admits he needs superhero skills when it comes to running around after his three children.
“It feels like I have six,” he said in an interview with Australia’s Daily Life on Sunday, Nov. 15. “They’re non-stop, active kids. The biggest thing I’ve learned by having kids is that now I know what love is. I know what frustration is. I know the full gamut of emotions, good and bad. I feel I had just scratched the surface prior.”
Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, 39, have their hands full with their “three under three” — India Rose, 3, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, 19 months.
“Each time you add one, it feels like three more,” he joked.
The Aussie hottie also discussed his choice to keep his family out of the spotlight, choosing to live by the beach in Byron Bay, Australia, instead of Los Angeles.
“We have a very normal existence,” the Thor actor said. “Here, if someone recognizes you, it doesn’t tend to be as big a deal. People are like, ‘Oh yeah, cool,’ then onward with the day. If you are living in Hollywood, people have traveled from around the world to see people in the entertainment business and they’ve got the cameras ready and a bigger deal is made of it. Here, we have a very normal existence, people are very respectful, and that was why we chose to come here.”
The Hollywood hottie also opened up about his two famous brothers — Liam, 25, and Luke, 34.
“They are the best support I have, and hopefully vice versa,” he said.
Up next for the Australian actor? He stars in Ron Howard’s action flick, In the Heart of the Sea, hitting theaters on Dec. 11.
