Swoon! Chris Pratt spoke to fans in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" session on Friday, April 24, and used the opportunity to gush about his wife Anna Faris.
The Parks and Recreation star, 35, sat down for the AMA in promotion of his upcoming role in Jurassic World. While many participants asked about his filmography, one fan wrote, "Hey Chris! I heard you met your wife, Anna Faris, on set during a movie. You're both great, I've loved her since the first Scary Movie but Chris you've stolen my heart since Parks and Rec. When I first discovered you two were married I was blown away because I thought you guys are perfect for each other, all while I tried to smother my intense jealousy. My questions for you are what drew you two together? Is there some cute story in which you guys fell in love? Is Anna a great wife/mom?"
Pratt did not hold back and gave the Redditor just the kind of answer any fan would hope for, touching on his relationship with Faris, 38, and the couple's 3-year-old son Jack.
"Anna and I are meant to be together," the Guardians of the Galaxy star said simply. "Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life."
"She and I grew up 20 minutes away from each other but never met until we met in LA," he continued. "We both got our start in horror spoofs. We both did an animated movie for Phil Lord and Chris Miller. We both made our careers playing guileless nitwits for laughs. We both have parents that have suffered with MS. The similarities go on and on."
The well-matched stars, who were both born in other areas but grew up in Washington state, met on the set of their 2007 movie Take Me Home Tonight. Faris and Pratt bonded quickly, seemingly over the aforementioned common ground, and exchanged vows in 2009. Faris, who earned early credits for her part in the Scary Movie series, went on to work with Lord and Miller on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, while Cursed Part 3 star Pratt worked with the pair on The Lego Movie.
"Anna is a great wife," Pratt added of the Mom actress. "Very patient and understanding. Very supportive. So kind and genuine always. And she gave me a wonderful son and family of in-laws that I truly love."
