Oops. CNN mistakenly showed a photo of LaMarcus Aldridge while doing live coverage of Lamar Odom’s hospitalization on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The Internet was quick to point out their mistake.
“CNN mistakes LaMarcus Aldridge for #LamarOdom…Unemployment line just got one person longer,” radio host Jerry Doyle tweeted, while another tweeted: “Lamar/Lamarcus same thing CNN.”
Sports Illustrated writer Chris Mannix added: “Good god, CNN.”
Aldridge, for his part, has yet to address the snafu.
The former Lakers player, who remains in critical condition at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, had been partying at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nev., over the course of three days. He was found unconscious and bleeding from the mouth and nose on Tuesday, Oct. 13, by employees at the ranch, who called 911.

Odom has been battling personal demons for years and, according to 911 calls released by the Nye Sheriff’s County Office, had used both cocaine and sexual performance enhancement drugs over the weekend.
