Born in November 1979, Lamar Odom is best known for playing forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, winning championships with the team in 2009 and 2010. Before joining the Lakers, Odom started his NBA career when the Los Angeles Clippers selected him during the 1999 draft. He played for the Clippers until 2003 but was suspended in 2001 for violating the league’s anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months. After a brief turn with the Miami Heat, he joined the Lakers in 2004 and remained on the team until 2011.

Odom married Khloé Kardashian in September 2009 after one month of dating. The duo called it quits in December 2013, but their divorce was not finalized for three years. When Odom was hospitalized in October 2015 after overdosing in a Nevada brothel, Kardashian withdrew her divorce petition so she could make medical decisions on his behalf. The pair’s split was finalized in December 2016.

Odom shares daughter ­Destiny and son Lamar Jr. with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales. The former couple’s third child, Jayden, died in June 2006 from sudden infant death syndrome.

The athlete was engaged to Sabrina Parr from 2019 to 2020. In 2022, Odom joined the cast of Celebrity Big Brother for the show’s third season.
