Danity Kane is back—but things aren't exactly harmonious among the remaining three members. According to a new report from TMZ, bandmates Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day got into a fight on Monday, Aug. 4, during which O'Day was allegedly struck in the head.
TMZ reports that Richard, O'Day, and DK's third member, Shannon Bex, were recording at a studio in L.A. when the fight broke out. Bex apparently tried to break up the argument, but ultimately, the cops were called.
An LAPD spokesperson confirms to Us Weekly that "a battery report has been filed," and that O'Day "was identified as a victim" in said report. However, "because it's an open investigation," the spokesperson could not provide any other details about either the incident or the location of the incident.
None of the band members has commented publicly on the alleged altercation yet, but O'Day tweeted a cryptic message in the wee hours of Tuesday, Aug. 5. It read simply: "hurt people, hurt people."
Of course, this is not the first time the Making the Band stars have been plagued with drama. The group, formerly a quintet, split amid lots of tension in 2009, then reunited—without D. Woods—in 2013. After a brief tour, fourth member Aundrea Fimbres departed, too, leaving O'Day, Richard, and Bex to continue as a trio.
