David "Puck" Rainey stopped being polite and started getting real, but it wasn't enough to land him in jail. The former reality star, who appeared on The Real World San Francisco in 1994 before getting evicted from the house, managed to avoid jail time while facing domestic violence charges, TMZ reports.
The 45-year-old was accused of scratching and bruising his live-in girlfriend back in July before slamming the phone down when she tried to call 911.
TMZ reports that Rainey pled guilty to domestic violence and dissuading a witness and was sentenced to 3 years probation and ordered to attend a 1-year domestic violence program instead of the one year of jail time he was facing.
The former MTV star has had several run-ins with the law. In 2012 he was jailed for stalking and in 2011 was arrested for felony domestic violence.
He became a well-known personality from the third season of The Real World for his outspoken nature and was eventually evicted from the house based on the decision of his costars.
