Oh boy. Dean Sheremet and his wife, Sarah Silver, are divorcing after five years of marriage, the chef and cookbook author confirms to Us Weekly.
"I have nothing but love and respect for Sarah," Sheremet, 35, tells Us in his exclusive statement. "Her love made me a better man. I will always be thankful she touched my life."
This is the second divorce for Sheremet, who married Silver, a photographer, in 2011. Prior to his marriage to the shutterbug, the former dancer was famously married to country singer LeAnn Rimes for seven years, before her cheating scandal with Eddie Cibrian ended their union. (Cibrian's own marriage to Brandi Glanville ended as well.)
Sheremet spoke out about the infamous 2009 incident last March in an interview with a lifestyle blog.
"If you aren’t happy, you can’t make anyone else happy," he told former Us Weekly staffer Natalie Thomas last March on Nat's Next Adventure. "It’s never gonna work. It’s a faulty system. I check in with myself now all the time, 'Am I happy?' And if the answer is no, I know I need to change something." He added in the context of relationships: "Communication is paramount for any relationship. Business, personal or otherwise. You have to check in. 'Are we still good?' You can’t assume."
Just this past February, he reunited with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Glanville to address their exes' high-profile affair.
"Standing here, seven years later, I'm like, 'I probably annoyed her and did some weird things …,'" he said of his marriage to Rimes. "[But] I have no ill will towards her … I just tried my best to be as accountable as possible without pointing any fingers. And I am over it!"
Ironically, Rimes and Cibrian celebrated their five year anniversary this past Friday, April 22.
