Lovatics, rejoice! Demi Lovato surprised fans on Thursday, June 30, when she dropped a brand-new single titled “Body Say” on Spotify and Apple Music.
“I wrote and recorded #BodySay a couple weeks ago and wanted you guys to hear it right away…whats the point in waiting anymore,” Lovato, 23, tweeted to her more than 36 million Twitter followers.

“If I had it my way, I would take you down / If I had it my way, I would turn you out / And if my body had a say, I would come again / Scared of what I might say, cause I’m at the edge,” Lovato sings on the sultry and provocative track.
“You can touch me with slow hands / Speed it up, baby, make me sweat,” she continues. “Dreamland, take me there cause I want your sex / If my body had a say, I wouldn’t turn away.”
Lovato hasn’t revealed the music video for the song just yet, but she did release artwork for the new tune. In the black-and-white pics, the singer poses topless on a white bedsheet.

Lovato is focusing on her music since announcing her split from Wilmer Valderrama on June 3. (The couple met in 2010 and dated for six years.) On June 24, she and Nick Jonas kicked off their Future Now Tour at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.
“We chose now because our careers have really taken off over the past couple of years. Since we were younger, we made that transition from the kind of tween/teen world to the mainstream world, and now that we’ve both been able to do that, and we also started our own record label together, Safehouse Records, we thought it would make the most sense as not only label owners but labelmates,” Lovato said of Jonas during a recent phone interview, via AJC.com. “And, of course, we’re best friends as well, so we thought it made perfect sense to go on the road together.”
