Donald Trump Dominates in “Trump or Colbert” Quote Quiz Game: Watch Now

Too late to apologize. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, Sept. 22, to talk about his immigration policy and have a little fun.

The new Late Show host started off the interview by apologizing to Trump for some of the things he’s said about him over the years, and then gave the billionaire a chance to do the same. But the hair-happy Republican, 69, wasn’t interested in taking back anything he’s said throughout his controversial campaign.

“Uh, no. Maybe [I would apologize to] the audience, how about the audience?” he suggested before finally saying, “No, no apologies.”

Trump instead opened up about his plans to eliminate illegal immigration by building a large wall on the Mexico/U.S. border.

“We have to have a wall,” he said. “We have to have a border, and in that wall, we have to have a beautiful big, fat door.”

Host Colbert then quipped, “What about two walls — one here, one there — in between, a moat filled with fire and fireproof crocodiles?”

But Trump continued to insist that with his proposed wall, which he plans to force Mexico to pay for, “We stop crime and we stop problems.”

Though he didn’t agree with Trump’s politics, Colbert did have some kind words for the former Celebrity Apprentice host. “I want to thank you, not only for being here, I want to thank you for running for president,” he said. “I’m not going to say this stuff writes itself, but you certainly do deliver it on time every day."

To further drive home Trump’s frequently outrageous comments, the host then played the game “Trump or Colbert.”

“For years I played an over-the-top, conservative character, not for as long as you did, but for many years. I was looking back over some of the things you’ve said over the years, and sometimes I couldn’t figure out whether I said them, or you said them,” Colbert explained before quizzing Trump.
