Drake’s Super Bowl 50 Ad for T-Mobile Spoofs His ‘Hotline Bling’ Video

On his cellphone! Superstar rapper Drake spoofs himself in T-Mobile’s Super Bowl 50 commercial, and, naturally, the wireless provider features his smash hit, “Hotline Bling,” in the ad.

In the hilarious bit, Drake, 29, is on the now-familiar set of his video and croons: “You used to call me on my cellphone.” He throws in some goofy moves when he’s suddenly interrupted by three suit-clad corporate folks.

“Perfect,” one man says. “Here are the changes.” He and his colleagues then present the many restrictions imposed by wireless networks. 

“When you say, ‘Call me on my cellphone,’ just add, ‘Device eligible for upgrade after 24 months,'” a woman notes. “Also, you need to include that streaming music incurs data charges,” another man says.

This is the second consecutive year T-Mobile has enlisted a celebrity for its Super Bowl spot. In 2015, the cellphone company got Kim Kardashian to parody her love of selfies in its commercial.
