"It was never really love at first sight," the Wedding Singer star told the magazine about their romance. "Will struck a lot of my pragmatic sides. He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who has this incredible blueprint of a family that I don’t have."

"At the same time, what I love about him is that he embodies the power of choice," she added. "He chooses to be a good person every day."

Indeed, the pair had a deep love, even if it wasn't love right away. She told Allure in January 2013, "[Will’s] my home now.… It makes me almost want to cry. He’s the father of my child and I’m the mother of his child. I’m finally a part of a family and it’s a miracle."

Barrymore, 41, and art consultant Kopelman, 38, began dating in February 2011 and got married in June 2012 at her Montecito, California, home. They are parents of daughters Olive, 3, and Frankie, 23 months.

This is the actress' third marriage. She wed bar owner Jeremy Thomas in March 1994, before filing for divorce weeks later. She tied the knot with actor Tom Green in July 2001, and their divorce was finalized in October 2002.
