American wedding story! Emma Roberts is engaged to boyfriend Evan Peters, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
The 22-year-old actress began dating her 26-year-old American Horror Story costar in spring 2012. Extra was first to report news of the couple's engagement, which reportedly occurred over the holidays in New York City. According to Extra, Peters proposed with a pink, gold diamond ring.
The bride-and-groom-to-be haven't yet confirmed their engagement news. On Jan. 1, Roberts tweeted, "Happy new year everybody!!! Let's make 2014 the best year yet."
The couple made headlines back in July after Roberts was arrested for domestic violence against Peters. The actress, who is the niece of Hollywood veteran Julia Roberts, allegedly got into a heated argument with Peters in a hotel in Montreal. "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it," reps for the stars told Us Weekly in a statement at the time.
"They're a couple young kids," a source told Us of the twosome. "Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate."
