Emma Roberts

The daughter of Eric Roberts and niece of Julia Roberts, Emma Roberts made her acting debut at age 9 in the 2001 film Blow. She starred on the Nickelodeon sitcom Unfabulous from 2004 to 2007. Subsequent lead roles in Aquamarine (2006), Nancy Drew (2007), Wild Child (2008), Hotel for Dogs (2009) and Scream 4 (2011) solidified Emma’s status as a teen idol.

Emma forged a relationship with producer Ryan Murphy, starring on his shows American Horror Story (on and off since 2013) and Scream Queens (2015 to 2016). Her other film credits include We’re the Millers (2013), Palo Alto (2013), Nerve (2016), Holidate (2019), Maybe I Do (2023) and Madame Web (2024). Emma is also a producer; her company, Belletrist, produced the Hulu series Tell Me Lies and is home to Emma’s book club.

Emma began dating her American Horror Story and Adult World costar Evan Peters in 2012. She was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2013 after a fight with Peters, but she was released after questioning. The couple later announced their engagement before splitting for good in 2019. Emma moved on with Garrett Hedlund, with whom she welcomed son Rhodes in December 2020. After splitting from Hedlund in 2021, Emma made her Instagram debut with boyfriend Cody John in August 2022. They tied the knot in July 2026.
