Garrett Hedlund

Born on September 3, 1984, actor Garrett Hedlund grew up on a remote farm in Minnesota. In high school, he began modeling for Teen magazine and L.L. Bean. He graduated a semester early so he could move to Hollywood and pursue his dream of becoming an actor.

Hedlund demonstrated his talent as an actor quickly, landing roles in Troy and Friday Night Lights just weeks after moving to L.A.

After Friday Night Lights, Hedlund appeared in Four Brothers, Eragon and Georgia Rule. Then, after a three year absence, Hedlund made waves in 2010 with a starring role in Tron, opposite jeff bridges and Olivia Wilde. He also appeared in Country Strong with Gwyneth Paltrow, which gave Hedlund a chance to show off his musical talents.

After Hedlund was romantically linked to his Country Strong costar Leighton Meester and Taylor Swift, he began a longterm relationship with Kirsten Dunst. The twosome split in April 2016 after four years together.

Us broke the news in March 2019 that Hedlund, who also starred as Sam Flynn in TRON: Legacy and Joel Hurley in the HBO series Mosaic, started seeing Emma Roberts. Us revealed the following year that the Unfabulous alum is pregnant with their first child. Roberts debuted her baby bump in August 2020, announcing the sex of their upcoming baby boy. Us confirmed in January 2022 that the pair had split.
