Ross + Jane forever?
Jane Krakowski hit the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 20, and dropped a major pop-culture bombshell. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star, 46, told E!’s Giuliana Rancic that she auditioned for the part of Rachel Green on Friends. Say what?!
“I, like almost every actor in the world, auditioned for Friends,” Krakowski said. “I wish I had gotten that one. I actually auditioned for Rachel and didn’t go very far.”
The actress, wearing a Bibhu Mohapatra gown, joked that her business manager was “very sad” that she didn’t get the part.
Ultimately, of course, the role ended up going to Jennifer Aniston, who –– among other achievements –– pioneered a new haircut thanks to her stint on the show. Would Krakowski have done the same? We’ll never know.
