Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson shed light on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s “magical” wedding day nearly one month later.
“Congrats to both of them. It was magical,” Thompson, 44, said on a recent episode of the “Calm Down” podcast. “I will just leave it at this. It was magical. … Maybe there’s some subliminal part of seeing them get married that makes me want to have a version adjacent to marriage and the commitment ceremony.”
Thompson noted that she didn’t want to say “too much” about the big day, but there was a special takeaway.
“Watching them get married, I’m like, ‘When you find your person, everything else in the world is right,'” she continued. “And that to me, that night and that weekend really was a reminder that you can have everything in the world, and if you don’t have the person to share it with, then it’s not worth anything.”
Andrews, 48, echoed her cohost’s sentiments, adding that “everyone has been asking” about their experience at the A-list nuptials.
“It was magical,” Andrews said, adding that she feels “protective” over Swift, 36.
The sports commentator even revealed that she nearly called out “weirdos” who leaked details online about “things that didn’t happen.”
“I was a little worried about my Sancerre intake and that I was going to fire back on the old replies,” she joked. “I didn’t.”
For Andrews, the best part was getting to spend the evening with old friends and make new acquaintances. “I was so excited to meet people in both of their lives that we’ve heard about and we haven’t met before. … Everybody was just so lovely and fun,” she said, hinting that she wants to “relive it again.”
Swift and Kelce, 36, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, less than one year after announcing their engagement. A source exclusively told Us that there were “about 1,000 guests” in the iconic arena to celebrate the couple’s love story.
“The whole night felt really intimate and personal despite being in an arena and how star-studded the guest list was,” the insider added.
Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, with Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, serving as best man. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, was her man of honor.
“Taylor was emotional while reciting her vows but kept her composure,” another insider shared. “You could tell she put a lot of work and time into writing her vows. Travis teared up more than Taylor. They shared very personal details and anecdotes that some guests had never even heard before.”
The night then transformed into “one huge dance party,” with a source telling Us, “Taylor looked like she was having the absolute best time. … The energy was unreal from start to finish.”
