The love burner is heating up. Giada De Laurentiis is dating again, and her new beau’s name is Shane Farley, sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The celebrity chef, 45, and TV producer have been dating since at least the beginning of August, when they were spotted by an observer at Drai’s Nightclub at the Cromwell in Las Vegas, cozying up to each other during a Nick Jonas performance.
“They were making out . . . in full view of everyone,” the observer told Us at the time of De Laurentiis and Farley’s night out on Aug. 1. “They are super affectionate . . . all over each other.”
A different insider tells Us that that the bubbly Italian chef even brought him to a recent Halloween party.
“She seemed super happy with him and they were hanging out with all of her best friends,” the source says. “She was feeding him bites of different appetizers and then holding his hand. All of Giada’s friends know Shane and have hung out with him many times. She seems very comfortable around him and in love.”
Farley, the former executive producer of The Rachael Ray Show, is now spearheading Tyra Banks‘ new lifestyle talk show, FABLife. During a TCAs panel on Aug. 4, Farley told Us and other reporters about the format of the program.
“What drew us to it was the fact that you look at most daytime [and it] has lifestyle involved in it,” he said at the time. “The host brings on an expert. So, just cut out the middleman and make the host the ‘lifestylist,’ the actual expert. We don’t need to waste time introducing someone. They have the knowledge.”
Despite his breadth of knowledge about the world of television (he’s an Emmy winner!), there is one caveat: He’s still technically married. The TV show exec filed for divorce this past March from his wife, Manhattan-based personal trainer Jennifer Giamo, but the two have yet to finalize their split.
Giamo’s lawyer Barry S. Guaglardi tells Us Weekly that his client has not been taking the news of Farley’s new romance well since E! News first reported it this week. “My client is devastated by what she has learned through the tabloids . . .” Guaglardi has said of Giamo. “‘Hurtful’ would be a mild characterization. That is the only statement we will be making today.”
De Laurentiis, meanwhile, finalized her divorce from her ex-husband of 11 years, Todd Thompson, this past September. She and Thompson share a 7-year-old daughter named Jade Marie.
