Super candid model. Gisele Bundchen opened up to CBS This Morning on Tuesday, Nov. 10, about her marriage to Tom Brady, admitting it's not always picture-perfect.

"I think we've been through a few tough times together," Bundchen, 35, told Charlie Rose. "I think that's when you know who are your friends and who loves you. My father always said the quality of your life depends on the quality of your relationships, and I think, no matter how challenging it was, we've always been supportive of one another. I think that's the most important thing you can have in life, you know? A support system and love."

As Us Weekly exclusively reported in August, Bundchen threatened Brady with divorce this past summer in the thick of his Deflategate scandal. The gorgeous pair — who married in 2009 and share daughter Vivian and son Benjamin — dealt with their fair share of struggles after the New England Patriots star quarterback was suspended by the league for being "at least generally aware" of tampered footballs during the AFC championship game in January. (The four-game suspension was ultimately lifted days before the start of the new season.)

The situation was so intense that Brady, 38, brought work matters home — and took it out on his wife. "Tom’s become very nasty and irritable and started acting out on her," a source told Us at the time about the 2015 Super Bowl MVP.

His mood change was a startling contrast from the person Bundchen fell in love with — and remained committed to even when his ex Bridget Moynahan revealed that she was pregnant with his child shortly after the now-married twosome began their relationship back in 2007. "It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking I'm dating this guy," she recalled of the revelation. "We met, we started dating, everything is great, and then this happens, so I felt I didn't know what to do. Do I just run away?"

She chose to stay. "He's a very kind man," Bundchen said of her husband. "You know him! He's a good man . . . I would say he's much more competitive than me. I'm much more a collaborative person . . . He's kind of the boss in some way. He has to dictate [what's on the field]."

Bundchen added of her 8-year-old stepson, John: "I couldn't have asked for a sweeter bonus child."

While her husband has faced more than a few ups and downs in his career, Bundchen announced her retirement from the runway in April. "I feel fulfilled," she said of her long and successful modeling career. "I still have some contracts and they are going to be still going forward . . . but it's not my focus by any means anymore."
