More than 20 years after meeting Giuliana Rancic on camera, Bill Rancic still can’t believe how lucky he got in the relationship department.
“I think I got a great woman who’s just fun and exciting and likes to do adventures with me,” Bill, 54, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while celebrating the launch of iHeartRadio’s “Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast” on Tuesday, May 12. “I had a long period of being single. I didn’t meet her until I was 35, and I just knew right away, it was instant. I never believed in love at first sight until I met her.”
Fans received a front-row seat into the couple’s love story when they participated in Giuliana & Bill from 2009 to 2014.
Cameras rolled as Giuliana, 51, survived breast cancer in 2011 before welcoming son Duke via a surrogate in 2012. Through it all, the former E! News host and Bill said they always had their faith to handle life’s ups and downs.
“We pray as a family. We go to church. Our faith is very strong,” Giuliana told Us. “I went through breast cancer, and it was such an incredibly hard time in our life. … Having my faith be so strong helped me beyond words because I felt like there was something bigger than me that could help me.”

The former Fashion Police host added, “Of course my husband was instrumental in getting me through that time and my parents and my family. But being able to go to church and have certain prayers and then seeing the result of prayer happening with good news that was coming to me, that to me was such an important part of my life.”
Bill and Giuliana are still friends with their priest, Father Mike, who married them in 2007. That same priest gave Duke his First Communion and will help him through confirmation.
“I think for those people who are on the fence with faith, I think life becomes a lot better when you hand it over to God,” Bill shared. “You just surrender and give yourself to God, and you know he’s in charge. I think once you come to that realization and you let it go, life is a lot lighter.”
Life is certainly good for the couple, who continue to expand their gourmet food line titled Mama DePandi.

They are also excited for their new podcast, which will dive into some of the burning questions people are too afraid to ask.
From popular searches like “Why is my poop green?” to more personal issues like “Is divorce contagious?” or “Do I have adult ADHD?” Bill and Giuliana promise nothing is off-limits as they try to set the record straight with help from experts.
“I had my first colonoscopy this past year, and I could not finish that prep for the life of me. I couldn’t finish the liquid,” Giuliana recalled when discussing the inspiration behind the podcast. “I went online and I searched, ‘Do I have to finish my colonoscopy prep?’ And that was really what gave us the idea to do this podcast. What if we tackled questions that people are wondering at two in the morning or wondering throughout the day? That’s what this podcast is all about.”
Bill added, “We debunk a lot of the myths that are out there. On Instagram, everyone’s an expert and everyone has an opinion, and I’m a sucker for it. … But I want this to be a place where people can come and get very reliable, very good information. Let’s help debunk a lot of the myths that are out there and improve people’s lives.”
