Not a fan! Gordon Ramsay couldn’t hide his distaste when he tried Girl Scout cookies for the first time on the Wednesday, February 24, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The outspoken Hell’s Kitchen host looked hesitant when host Jimmy Kimmel, 48, offered him an assortment of the beloved treats.
“This is almost like sacred territory you’re entering here,” the late-night host warned Ramsay, 49, before he taste-tested his first cookie. “There’s the American flag, there’s Willie Nelson, and then we have Girl Scout cookies.”
The famed British chef and restaurateur reluctantly tried first a Tagalog (peanut-butter-filled), then a Samoa (caramel and toasted coconut–covered) and finally a Thin Mint — but not before commenting that the cookies looked “like dog biscuits.”
“That’s like a cheap After Eight dinner mint,” Ramsay said after biting into a Thin Mint before spitting it out and grimacing.
The celebrity chef later took to Twitter to apologize to any Girl Scouts he might have offended.
“Love all of the hard work the @girlscouts do! I think @JIMMYKIMMEL gave me a stale box,” he wrote, along with a link to the clip.
