Greg Louganis has tied the knot! The Olympic diving champion wed his partner, paralegal Johnny Chaillot, on Saturday, Oct. 12, Us Weekly can confirm. The two said "I do" during a 6 p.m. PST ceremony in Malibu, Calif.
Louganis and Chaillot were feted by family and friends for their big day, with Romanian gymnast Nadia Camaneci as one of their special guests in attendance. Louganis' diving coach Ron O'Brien walked him down the aisle, and his dog even presented the couple with their rings!
Louganis, 53, and Chaillot, 52, announced their engagement in July. "It is officially out!" the four-time Olympic gold medalist tweeted at the time. "Yes, we are getting married! Love my life and love Johnny Chaillot."
Louganis — who dated Chaillot for less than a year before taking the next step — previously opened up about what first attracted him the most about his now husband.
"It's so funny, generally I usually went for opposites. You know, blonde hair blue-eyed and Johnny, when we first got together it was like, 'We look like brothers,'" he joked during an interview with The Backlot in March. "He has the same skin. The same skin tone, everything. I was like, 'This feels really narcissistic.' But I also realize the more I fall in love with him the more [I fall] in love with myself."
He added: "I always grew up hearing 'Oh, your soul mate this and that.' And I didn't think it existed. I'm having second thoughts about that."
Louganis tested positive for HIV in 1988. He would later come out as gay during a 1995 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
