Baby on the way! Guy Pearce and Carice van Houten are expecting their first child together, the Game of Thrones actress revealed on social media on Saturday, March 19.
“Yes. It’s true,” she captioned a side-by-side image of herself and Pearce, 48, on Instagram, with a baby face emoji. “Let the shadow baby jokes begin.” The HBO star, 39, also took to Twitter to announce the news, joking, “OK. I’m ready for your shadowbaby jokes.”
Van Houten, who plays Melisandre on Game of Thrones, had a memorably bizarre childbirth scene during season 2 of the hit series, in which she gave birth to a shadow creature.

Although the couple haven’t officially confirmed their relationship, they have been spotted together on multiple occasions in recent months.
The Memento actor split from wife Kate Mestitz in January 2015 after 18 years of marriage. He will portray The Great Gatsby author F. Scott Fitzgerald in Genius, which hits theaters June 10.
