Halle Berry brought fans along for her “magical” 60th birthday trip with her fiancé, Van Hunt, in Mexico.
On Wednesday, August 19, the Oscar winner shared a carousel of intimate photos of her and Hunt, 56, sunbathing, sightseeing on a yacht and sharing some PDA in a private pool while celebrating her birthday at a resort in Los Cabos, Mexico.
“Some experiences stay with you forever,” Berry beamed via Instagram. “Thank you @zadunreserve @ritzcarltonreserve for making every moment of my 60th birthday celebration simply magical!”
The X-Men star went on to reveal some of the exciting activities she took part in while vacationing with her beau.
“The cuisine, Sensei wellness spa, wine making experience and boat adventures were beyond exquisite! This was a big birthday and, along with @vanhunt, you made it one I shall never forget,” she declared. “Special thank you to @gigioromero And Christian for making it all extra FUN !🤩”
When Berry officially turned 60 on Friday, August 14, she thanked her fans for sending her plenty of “birthday love.”
“Thank you from my ❤️ for all the birthday love and well wishes. I’m grateful to still be here,” she wrote via Instagram last Friday.
Prior to her milestone birthday, Berry discussed what it meant for her to turn 60 during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle in May.
“[I feel] great, because, you know, the opposite would be tragic if I weren’t here,” she pointed out. “I feel different than I thought I would feel at 60. What is 60? What is age anymore? It’s a feeling.”
Berry added, “I feel stronger, smarter, wiser, more myself, more in control. I’m the best version of myself at this time in my life and I am so glad that I’m still here and healthy.”
The Monster’s Ball star also opened up about being booked and busy nearly 40 years after she made her screen debut in 1989’s Living Dolls.
“I’m still alive in it. I haven’t gone off into the sunset,” she said. “I haven’t fallen off. I’m still here doing it on my own terms.”
Berry shared another important milestone earlier this year when she confirmed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February that she’d got engaged to Hunt after six years of dating.
“There’s some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no. I did not say no,” she clarified. “We just don’t have a date. But of course I said yes, I would marry him!”
Berry flashed her diamond engagement ring, confirming, “He did put a little ring on it.”
The actress was previously married to former baseball star David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and later to singer Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005. More recently, Berry was married to third husband Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016. (Berry shares 18-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry and also welcomed 12-year-old son Maceo-Robert Martinez with Olivier.)
