The 72-year-old, who suffered a broken pelvis and ankle, was hospitalized for weeks at UCLA before finally being released on March 30.

“The injuries sustained are not life threatening,” his rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time of the crash. “He is expected to make a full recovery.”

Calista Flockhart’s husband was “stunned and moaning in pain” after crash-landing his War World II vintage plane moments after its engine stalled on March 5, spine surgeon Sanjay Khurana, who happened to be at the scene of the accident, told ABC News.

“I motioned to some of the other folks at the golf course to put dirt on the fuel so it wouldn’t combust,” he recalled. “I just wanted to get him out safely so that the situation wouldn’t erupt into a fire.”
