Bad blood? Harry Styles had an uncomfortable encounter with Gigi Hadid on the red carpet at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, and we’re guessing his ex Taylor Swift had something to do with it!
Styles, 21, and his One Direction bandmates were being interviewed by E!’s Giuliana Rancic when she invited Swift’s BFF to join them, asking, “Have you met before?”
Hadid, 20, who debuted a new chin-length bob on Sunday, awkwardly shook hands with Styles, and then it got worse. As Styles was pushed to one side (and appeared to roll his eyes), Hadid then warmly hugged and kissed Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. Suddenly the red carpet seemed like Antarctica – cold!

Another possible reason for Hadid throwing shade? Styles also dated another one of her friends — Kendall Jenner — who is also attending the AMAs.
Styles and Swift, 25, began dating in the fall of 2012, splitting a few months later, and Swift reportedly wrote about their relationship in her song “Out of the Woods.”
One Direction are set to perform their new hit “Perfect” during the awards show. In an interview last week, Styles didn’t deny that the song was about Swift, laughing and smiling as James Corden quizzed him.
