Sorry lads, Harry Styles didn't send Taylor Swift red roses after all! The One Direction boy bander cleared up rumors that he sent flowers to his ex following her 1989 album release during The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, Nov. 21.
"So Harry, I need to find this out because this a rumor. I don't know if you're going to answer me or not because you have so many rumors," DeGeneres asked the British hunk. "I'll answer," he replied.
"Here's the latest rumor, that you gave Taylor Swift 1,989 roses because of her 1989 album doing well. Do you know anything about that rumor?" the host nudged. Styles appeared to turn a slight shade of pink when asked, but gave a straight answer while sitting next to his bandmates Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.
"I don't. I know nothing about the rumor. I don't know anything about the roses," Styles clarified. "I think it might have been someone else and I may have falsely taken [the credit]."
Styles, 20, may have not been behind the sweet gesture, but he has made amends with the singer since their messy split in January 2013. An insider exclusively told Us Weekly in this week's issue that the two have "become pals" again. Styles recently inspired several of Swift's 1989 songs, including "Out of the Woods" and "Style."
