Where better to recover from the trauma of a near-drowning incident than at the Happiest Place on Earth? On Wednesday, April 3 — three days after a riptide threatened the lives of her 7-year-old son, Henry, and two nannies — Heidi Klum and boyfriend Martin Kirsten enjoyed a much-needed day of family-friendly fun with her kids at Disneyland's California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif.
The 39-year-old Project Runway host and her brood appeared to be having a great time as they took in the sights. And despite their harrowing ordeal at sea just a few days earlier, they had no qualms about getting their feet wet again — at one point, the supermodel and her sons were spotted laughing gleefully as they rode the Grizzly River Run, a six-minute "white-water rafting adventure" with a big, splashy plunge down a "runaway river."
As Us Weekly previously reported, Klum had to rescue her son from a dangerous riptide on Sunday, March 31, during a family vacation in Oahu, Hawaii. She and Kirsten grabbed Henry and two nannies from the choppy surf and dragged them to safety on the beach.
"We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave," the German stunner told Us in a statement on Monday, April 1. "Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely."
Henry is Klum's oldest child with ex-husband Seal. The couple also had another son, Johan, 6, and a daughter, Lou, 3, as well as Klum's daughter Leni, 8, from a previous relationship.
