Henry Cavill, 33, Splits From Girlfriend Tara King, 19

Superman is flying solo. Henry Cavill has split from his teenage girlfriend, Tara King, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly.

“She was in too deep and he didn’t want anything too serious. He has a lot going on right now,” a source tells Us. “They’ll remain good friends, but it just wasn’t meant to be. No fight, just not meant to be.”

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor, 33, and fellow Brit King, 19, made their red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in February. Cavill opened up about the romance during an interview with Elle magazine earlier that month.

“When I met my girlfriend, I was super intimidated. I wanted to impress her. I was thinking, Don’t mess this up, man,” the Man From U.N.C.L.E. star said in February. “People say age is just a number. It’s actually a real and true sign of someone’s maturity,” he added of the college student. “But in this case, she’s fantastic.”

Despite the breakup, the two continue to spend time together. On May 15, the exes were photographed taking part in the Durrell Challenge charity run in Jersey, Channel Islands.

Cavill briefly dated The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco in July 2013, and previously romanced actress Gina Carano on and off until December 2014.
