The TLC fan-favorite Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is in jeopardy following an allegation that its star June Shannon has been romantically linked to a convicted child molester.

"TLC is not currently in production on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," the network told Us Weekly in a statement on Thursday, Oct. 23. "We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."

TMZ reported that Shannon (Mama June), 35, is allegedly dating a man who was once convicted of child molestation involving her relative. The victim in question was 8 years old at the time of the incident. The unidentified man was released from prison and is currently a registered sex offender in Georgia, where the reality family lives.

Episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo were last aired in August. The show's official Facebook page posted on Sept. 2 that the family would be returning for a fifth season.
