Eight just isn’t enough for Alec Baldwin!
“Alec loves babies. Alec would have more babies if I let them,” Alec’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, exclusively told Us on Thursday, October 22, while attending the Gala of the Stars event benefiting Dancers Against Cancer.
Hilaria, 42, who shares seven biological kids with Alec, 68, said she’s ecstatic that his oldest child, model Ireland Baldwin, is pregnant with her second child. (Alec welcomed Ireland with his first wife, Kim Basinger, in 1995.)
“I’m glad that Ireland’s having them because I’m like, ‘Um, this shop is closed,’” Hilaria shared with Us.
Hilaria added that she is “so excited” to add another grandchild to the family.
“She’s such a good mom, and Holland is like the best, cutest little thing, and so I’m just excited for the next baby,” she said.
Ireland, 31, welcomed her daughter, Holland, with boyfriend and musician RAC — real name André Allen Anjos — in May 2023.
The couple announced they were expecting their second child in May 2026 by posting a joint Instagram video.
Hilaria said motherhood is “natural” for Ireland. The pair even share parenting tips.
“I feel like I ask just as much advice from her as she asks from me. She just really has such a good compass. Definitely, way more than I did when I was a first-time mom,” Hilaria explained. “Every once in a while, I’m like, ‘Hey, you know what? This nebulizer worked for me’ when Holland is sick or something like that.”
Hilaria concluded about her stepdaughter, “Ultimately, she’s just like such a strong, great mom.”
Hilaria married Alec in June 2012. The pair share seven children: three daughters, Carmen, 13, María, 5, and Ilaria, 4, and four sons, Rafael, 11, Leonardo, 10, Romeo, 8, and Eduardo, 6.
In February 2025, Alec opened up about his desire to add another baby to the mix.
“Every now and then, when the baby gets older and grows up to be about 2, I look at [Hilaria] and I go, ‘Time to have another,’” the actor confessed to People at the time.
His wife, however, wasn’t on board.
“They’re so cute,” Hilaria said, “But my body’s really tired.”
Later in the interview, the actor joked that he and his wife should be enjoying the lavish life, but are too busy raising seven kids.
“I always joke with her and say, ‘You know where I should be right now, don’t you? We should be on Geffen’s yacht, drinking a cappuccino and reading a book, and having dinner with Spielberg or whatever,’” he said, while Hilaria interjected that they were changing diapers instead.
The world got an inside look into Alec and Hilaria’s home life when the couple and their children appeared on TLC’s reality show The Baldwins. The series premiered in February 2025.
